The State Highway 78 and Avenue F bridges over Duck Creek also included some architectural
treatments. The ashlar finish on the prestressed concrete
panels in the drilled shaft soldier pile
retaining walls combined with the TxDot C411 Classic Combination Bridge Railing lend an antique
look to this bridge
and channelization project adjacent to historic Central Park in Garland, Texas.
This project was designed for the City of Garland and the Texas
Department of Transportation
and required close coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for integration into their
Duck Creek Channelization
project.
